Vendor-Managed Deployment

Use FormKiQ-hosted deployment in a dedicated, segregated AWS account operated by FormKiQ.

A turnkey deployment model with isolated infrastructure and managed operations for faster onboarding.

Vendor-managed deployment gives teams a faster path to production without building or operating cloud infrastructure internally. FormKiQ deploys and operates your environment in a dedicated, non-shared AWS account — giving you isolated infrastructure and defined operational boundaries while FormKiQ handles the underlying platform operations.

Vendor-managed deployment is available for FormKiQ Enterprise only.

This model is a common fit for public sector organizations, non-profits, and other teams that need enterprise-grade document management but do not have the internal cloud infrastructure capacity to deploy and operate the platform themselves. Rather than building that capacity as a prerequisite, vendor-managed deployment lets these organizations go to production on a governed, dedicated environment while FormKiQ handles the operational layer.

What "vendor-managed" means in practice

  • Dedicated account: Your environment runs in a FormKiQ-operated AWS account that is not shared with other customers.
  • Managed operations: FormKiQ handles upgrades, infrastructure monitoring, and platform-level operations.
  • Defined access boundaries: FormKiQ operational access is scoped to the infrastructure level. Access policies and audit records document what is accessible and when.
  • Faster onboarding: No AWS account setup or CloudFormation deployment required from your team. FormKiQ provisions the environment and prepares it for use.
  • Phased migration path: Moving from vendor-managed to customer-managed does not require infrastructure changes. The deployment transfers from FormKiQ's AWS organization to yours — same architecture, same configuration, different account ownership and billing. When your team is ready to take over operations, the transition is an organizational handoff, not a migration.

When to choose vendor-managed

  • Your team needs a production-ready environment quickly without internal cloud ops involvement.
  • You have limited AWS infrastructure capacity and want FormKiQ to handle platform operations.
  • You are in an early deployment phase and plan to move to customer-managed as your program matures.
  • Your compliance requirements allow vendor-operated infrastructure with documented access controls and audit records.

Compliance considerations

Vendor-managed deployment does not remove the need for compliance validation. Organizations operating under regulated frameworks should confirm that a vendor-operated, dedicated-account model satisfies their data handling, access control, and audit requirements before selecting this model.

FormKiQ can provide documentation of the access model, infrastructure boundaries, and operational procedures to support your compliance review.
