Keep signing connected to the process that produced the document. FormKiQ's current eSignature Integration connects to DocuSign, so an approved agreement can move into signing and its status and resulting records can remain part of the business workflow.
Use the integration with a packaged Contract Management or Financial Application Management solution, or initiate the process through the API.
Coming soon: FormKiQ's own built-in eSignature feature. The available integration described here uses an external signing provider.

- 1 · Prepare in FormKiQ
Choose the approved document
Use the reviewed file or the output of Document Generation. Configure recipients and the signing process for the use case.
Result: an agreement ready to send through the configured integration.
- 2 · Sign with the provider
Use the DocuSign experience
The integration creates an envelope and can request a recipient signing view. DocuSign processes the signing interaction under the provider account and its configuration.
Result: provider-managed signing and status events.
- 3 · Continue in FormKiQ
Connect status and records
Callback events update the connected process. Configure how the signed result and execution evidence are stored with the agreement, application, and related documents.
Result: signing becomes a stage of the governed business file.

| Business record | Role in the workflow |
|---|---|
| Application and supporting documents | Explain why an agreement was prepared and which information it used. |
| Approved agreement version | Identifies the document selected for the signature request. |
| Signing envelope and status | Connect the FormKiQ process to the provider's signing transaction. |
| Signed result and execution evidence | Support later retrieval, review, and the configured retention process. |
This is a workflow illustration, not a completed customer transaction. The signed-output return and downstream handling are verified as part of each integration setup.
Understand the provider boundary
In a customer-managed deployment, FormKiQ stores the governed document file in your AWS account. Sending an agreement for signature makes the relevant document and recipient information available to DocuSign. The provider's processing locations, account settings, retention, and access terms are part of the overall design.
Ownership of the FormKiQ repository therefore sits alongside a separately configured signing service. Review both when residency or sovereignty controls are deciding requirements. Compare FormKiQ deployment and governance options.
What to include in the solution scope
| Component | Scope |
|---|---|
| FormKiQ module | A commercial add-on for Advanced or Enterprise. The installed platform and backend version must support the selected signing operations. |
| Provider relationship | Your DocuSign license, account, credentials, and provider usage terms. |
| Workflow configuration | Document selection, recipients, signing experience, callbacks, signed-output handling, and post-signature routing. |
| Other providers | Scope an integration for Adobe Acrobat Sign or another provider against its API, your license, and the required workflow. Provider compatibility is not implied by a DocuSign connection. |
| Built-in signing | FormKiQ's own eSignature feature is coming soon. No release date or edition entitlement is implied here. |
Review base platform pricing. Selected modules, implementation, AWS usage, and provider charges contribute to the complete workflow cost.
When FormKiQ fits
You need signing within a larger application, agreement, or records workflow, and want the resulting file connected to your metadata, access, retention, and API integration model.
When a signing service may be enough
If the entire need is sending a small number of documents for signatures, a standalone signing product may be the more direct choice. FormKiQ adds value when the work before and after signing matters to the business process.
Inspect the integration
The documented API covers envelope creation, recipient signing views, and DocuSign callback events. Those operations provide an inspectable starting point for the integration design.
